Cory Joseph's Youth Training Academy (YTA)

Class Schedule:

Monday - Thursday 

  • 3:30pm - 4:30pm OR

  • 4:30pm - 5:30pm

Monthly Dues: $100 per athlete 

Drop in Cost: $10 CASH ONLY

Maximum Participants: 20

 

The goal of the Youth Training Academy is to maximize your son or daughter's athletic talents so that they can become a great student athlete and leader amongst their peers.   Each Orientation will provide  a more detailed outline of the curriculum of the Youth Training Academy.  As a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (the most highly accredited certification of all major sporting teams and collegiate programs), my goal is to teach your son or daughter all the tools it takes to be successful in sports and in life.  

 

Each  YTA  member must maintain a 2.5 GPA and provide a signed GPA/Grade sheet at the end of each grading period.  During the initial signup, the  YTA  member must provide their most recent Grade Report.  Failure to maintain a 2.5 GPA will result in the removal of the  YTA member from the program until they can bring their grades up.  

 

This is a structured Fitness Class and not a personalized training session.  Each  YTA  member will learn the basics of resistance training using their body weight as well as machines, dumbbells, and free weights based on age.  I will teach speed, power, and agility 2-3 times a week.   YTA  members will learn the proper form on how to both exercise, as well as spotting their fellow classmate.  Group activities will also be incorporated to teach team building and communication skills. 

 

Performance testing will be conducted every 90 days to assess progress based on the curriculum taught during that training block.  A nutrition booklet will be provided to each YTA  member as well as binder to store supplemental reading and training documents that will be provided to the  YTA  member.  Mental toughness training will also be incorporated to supplement the physical training performed at our facility.  I will provide a positive learning environment for the  YTA  member to learn in as well as motivate and keep them accountable towards working on their short term and long term goals.  There will be optional beach training sessions, as well as seminars on Saturday's and more details will be announced as those sessions are planned.
